JVAN'S ANSWERED PRAYERS KENNELS

 Hi my name is Jaymi L. Johnson

 I along with my wife Vanessa and our two girls run JVAN'S ANSWERED PRAYERS KENNELS in Glenville W.V. We hunt and raise AKC blueticked beagles. 

It has been a dream ( PRAYER ) of mine for many years to raise beagles and run a kennel of my own.

I started showing in the AKC comformation ring when I was 14 in 1984. I showed Pharoah Hounds  for my step grandfather, who at the time had been breeding dogs for over 40 years. He taught me alot of what I know about breeding and raising dogs. I am eternally grateful to him for the knowledge he passed on to me.

It was during this time that I became interested in beagles. At the time I lived in Texas and did not have a clue as to what a true hunting beagle was. I just liked the way the traditional beagle looked.While in Texas I showed and owned several other breeds, but never got the opportunity to own a beagle, and never quite found what I was looking for in an all around dog. One that could be a hunter, a companion, a house pet that was good with children or just about anything else you would want a dog to be.

I moved to W.V. about 6 years ago and a couple of friends of mine took me rabbit hunting. I was hooked and the search began. At the time I didn't know that there was anything other than the traditional tri or the lemon and white (patch) beagles. Boy was I in for a surprise. As you will see I found and settled on the blueticked version of the beagle.

 I absolutely love my bluetick beagles. I live for my LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST †, my Wife and Children, and to hear the music of my Bluetick Hounds. So if you were wondering where the name came from. Now you know.
